Mission
The mission of CFUM is to create a community that supports the potential of children, youths and families through educational success, healthy living and community engagement.
Key Services Provided
Breakfast Club provides children a positive start and early-morning childcare.
Supper Club serves evening meals five days a week for the community.
Haven Afterschool, Madison Elementary, Harding Middle School and Awesome Summer Day programs focus on STEAM learning and building 21st century skills.
Key Audiences Served
Children and Family Urban Movement is focused on caring for the neighbors in the River Bend community of Des Moines and the children and their families who attend Moulton Elementary School.

What are the most immediate needs to support your organization?
For the children and families we serve, CFUM is a place where they feel welcomed, safe and supported. Our most immediate needs are reliable transportation for students, dedicated volunteers and sustainable monthly giving. Transportation ensures children can access after-school and enrichment opportunities, while volunteers help provide meals, mentorship and meaningful experiences during programs like Supper Club. Monthly donors provide consistent support for the meals, resources and programming families rely on throughout the year. It takes a community working together to help every child learn, grow and thrive.
