Mission
Iowa Heart Foundation is committed to improving heart health education and dedicated to the prevention of heart disease.
Key Services Funded
Our priority is to offer education on living a heart-healthy life to prevent heart disease. We provide heart health education lessons and kits to Iowa schools. Our careers in cardiology programming works to inspire the next generation of cardiovascular professionals and supports clinicians continuing medical education.
Key Audiences Served
We serve all Iowans, youth through adults, offering both clinical and public health education programming. We partner with schools, churches, community-based organizations, workplaces and local government entities to remove access as a barrier to heart health education and invest in heart disease prevention strategies.

What are the most immediate needs to support your organization?
Heart disease is the #1 cause of death in Iowa and all 99 counties are above the national average for heart disease prevalence. With 80% of heart disease being preventable, join us to educate more Iowans about how their heart works and how to take care of it. Maybe that is telling your own heart health story. Maybe that is donating to sponsor a classroom kit for an Iowa school. Maybe that is inviting us to your workplace to educate co-workers on knowing their numbers. Iowa Has Heart and you do too - join us today!
