Ed McGill and Ross Junge co-founded McGill Junge Wealth Management (MJWM), a Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company, to provide outstanding financial planning services in Urbandale, Iowa.  MJWM has been immensely successful in this endeavor, helping Iowans reach their goals and leave a legacy of success for future generations. But this small company can also measure its big impact through another metric: a spirit of service and philanthropy.

As a member of the United Way of Central Iowa’s Tocqueville Society, the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines Investment Partners, and the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s Investor Program, MJWM lives out its company values and takes action in our communities every day. Its 11-member team prides itself on working together to make gifts of time and treasure to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations. Among the beneficiaries of that generosity are Impact Iowa’s Heroes, Grimes Community Foundation, JDRF Greater Iowa, Blank Children’s Hospital, University of Iowa Children’s Hospital, Des Moines Community Playhouse, the American Cancer Society, Boys & Girls Club of Central Iowa, Youth Emergency Services & Shelter (YESS), and many more.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, MJWM took its community outreach to another level with the creation of a series of “charity challenges.” The company has engaged its clients and community members through social media and raised substantial funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa, Central Iowa FCA, Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity, Orchard Place, the Food Bank of Iowa, and Starts Right Here.
