Mission

Wildwood Hills Ranch exists to break cycles, build leaders, and transform communities for more than 1,000 of Iowa’s most vulnerable youths and veterans.

Key Services Provided

Providing the Next Steps Program equips students with the skills to break generational cycles of adversity. The Next Steps Program consists of educational programming, leadership development, job skills training and equine therapy. Programs are supported by a 100% donation-funded system, at no cost to the individual participant or their family.

Key Audiences Served

The Ranch serves youths facing socioeconomic struggles, including physical and sexual abuse, neglect, parental substance abuse, gang violence, homelessness, suicide, and food insecurity. Approximately 75% of students live below the poverty line, and 93% come from single-parent households. They face daunting obstacles, making the Next Steps program critical for success.

What are the most immediate needs to support your organization?

The Dream Builder program at Wildwood Hills Ranch provides community members and businesses with an opportunity to make a meaningful, long-term impact on the lives of Iowa’s most vulnerable youth. Through monthly contributions, Dream Builders supply critical resources such as nutritious meals, leadership training, and scholarships that allow students to attend retreats and participate in transformative development programs. These consistent investments extend far beyond meeting immediate needs; they empower students to build confidence, develop essential life and leadership skills, and break cycles of poverty and abuse. By becoming a Dream Builder, individuals and organizations become instrumental in providing brighter futures filled with hope and opportunities for success.
